I am going to be ten for a week.  It began today.  One of my students from last year is staying with me and we have successfully spent a complete Saturday playing UNO and watching the Disney Channel.

You wish you were ten again, don't you?

It's pretty rocking.  Ten year old dinners are full of cheese and ten year olds always have dessert.  Next Friday we are having a slumber party with lots of ten year old giggling girls.  I can hardly wait.

I might go a little nutty.

Have I mentioned that I can not wait for summer?  I have started to look up sweet camping spots.  I've thought of maybe making some rules. Last summer Abbs and I tried to get ice cream in every town.  And visit as many national parks as we could.  We even changed our names, but that didn't last long.

This year I want to step it up.  Ideas so far:
  • A letter of the day: K for kayaks, ketchup, kisses, keens, kabobs
  • Sleep in one less article of clothing each night
  • Wear giant sunglasses
  • Drink a Coke in every town's bar and dance to the jukebox
  • Collect local newspapers
Did you know that the longest mountain bike trail in the world begins by Banff and ends in Mexico?  And that the only rain forest in the United States is on the Olympic Peninsula?  Did you know that summers are glorious?
