My toes are a barney purple and it makes having toes even more fun.

Today was a double recess day.  A bare legs, two scarves day.  Today I got to wear my sunglasses and boots and breathe breathe breathe in the sunshine.

Everyone has those what am I doing here days.  Is this really my skin?  If I pinch myself, will it all get better?

And then I hear, Miss B, Miss B!  Come jump rope with me!  Look, Miss B!  I can make it to the top of the monkey bars now!

And life makes sense once again.  Life makes great sense.

Why?  Because my kids know how to play.  Because they're part of the world of kids being raised by video games and Hannah Montana and they know how to run around outside and really play Because when we talk about the world, we get to pray after.  And when we aren't the happiest about waking up early for school, we remember the other kids out there.  The ones who are dying to go to school.  And it makes us grateful.

I am going to the Sunshine State with a friend for the holiday and I am so excited.  We are going to have tea in the Huntington Library on Easter and I am going to be surrounded by strangers and I can not wait to be reunited with them.  I miss the strangers.  And we are going to go to the flower district and the beach and I'll be back on a plane and maybe then I'll get a chance to read that book, that grown up adult book that I've been meaning to get to for forever and oh, I just can't wait.  I can't.

Can you tell?

But for now I have sunny days.  Rope jumping, monkey bar climbing, praying days.  And they are too good to miss.
