Today I revisited these memories:
Then I read this favorite gem:
Song of Songs 2:10-13
10 My lover spoke and said to me,
"Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, and come with me.
11 See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
12 Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.
13 The fig tree forms its early fruit;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me."
Found a letter in my mailbox from her:
Bought this for school (picture orange, blue and brown instead):
Had a cold drink with a worn book:
"It might be time for you to go. It might be time to change, to shine out.
I want to repeat one word for you:
Leave.
Roll the word around on your tongue for a bit. It is a beautiful word, isn't it? So strong and forceful, the way you have always wanted to be. And you will not be alone. You have never been alone. Don't worry. Everything will still be here when you get back. It is you who will have changed."
Donald Miller, Through Painted Deserts
Went shopping with this renegade clergyman's daughter:
Listened to this beautiful baby on the phone:
Ordered a number two from here:
Found a recipe for this:
Made plans to go to the Greek Festival with her:
And said a prayer for tomorrow.
