I nanny on the days that I am not studying and classing and coffeeing.
They are three year old twins and they are adorable. Oh and then there's the four month old baby. Who is even more precious.
But let's be honest. Children are a recent part of my life and babies are read only documents.
I complain a lot. About everyone's facebook statuses and blog entries that seem to be nothing except daily diaper and teething reports.
But yesterday something happened that made me understand. Something that had me running for the shower and the wet wipes and the sanitizer all at once. I was seconds from stripping everyone of everything and throwing us in the tub with all of the soap in the house. And by us I mean the dogs and the kids and the dolls and the poor swing that will never be the same.
I was begging for the Lord to come back. Now.
And then that baby in all her glory looked at me and started giggling. And I couldn't help it. Life is a huge smelling mess of unfortunate surprises. But it is still worth laughing at. The minute it isn't, I'm in trouble.
Listen kiddos. Let's go for a walk and get out of this house for a bit. Let's breathe fall air and then when we come back, it's time to dance.
Miss Tasha! The leaves are crunchy! Miss Tasha, I hold your hand? Miss Tasha. I like you.
Good one. Reminds me of SO much as I was raising sisters and my kids. You're pretty amazing, but that's not exactly a surprise considering your family...
