And so read the hard books, do hard really hard things, have hard conversations, push your legs and your lungs-- hard, get comfortable being uncomfortable. So that maybe the hard things are the saving things. If I can make my body do this, then maybe my mind too. If I can learn and stretch and wrap my mind then maybe I can love unnaturally. Love all life long. Love one person fiercely and whole heartedly even when I feel heartless inside. Maybe the moving heavy weights and the hardest rides and the trips to broken countries and the teaching of ragged student children are all just training for this one great thing: devotion to another soul no matter the cost, no matter the feelings, no matter the circumstances even when they feel impossible.
