Did you know that this town is magic from a bike? Yesterday a friend and I hit the roads. Paved and unpaved. Yesterday, bike paths were not for us.
We went into town and out of town and around town and it was exactly what I needed to love this place better. After a while we pulled over at a park and a small girl taught us fancy tricks on the swing set. I felt like queen of the world with my toes in the air and my hair dragging in the sand.
We have to do this every day this summer. Every day.
After, we threw on skirts and cleaned our faces and joined the rest for pizza night at a tasty Italian place in town. I'm sitting here dreaming of the leftovers. There's something wonderful about cold, day old pizza.
Sometimes you have to chase life. And when all of the romance seems to have dried up and disappeared, you have to go looking for it. It's the best game of hide and seek there is.
I had stopped for a while. I reached a point where I felt too tired or maybe defeated. I let what was happening around me get inside and it caused me to doubt everything.
But He is good at reminding us. And He sends people who remind us also. This is who you are. Remember? And those things you believed in once. They're still worth believing in. Hang tight, you. Stand firm.
And don't forget to laugh at life. No more tears, baby girl.
You have a beautiful laugh -- I am glad that it is back. Love ya! Mom
